The rate of the web's growth has been and continues to be exponential, but is slowing in it's rate of growth. For the second half of 1993, the Web had a doubling period of under 3 months, and even today the doubling period is still under 6 months.
Internet users in 2005 is estimated to be over 950,000,000 users with a growth rate of 160%.
This means the potential of an online business is several folds higher than a physical business. Physical businesses have limited exposure and are constricted by local environment whereas online business has unlimited boundries and unlimited exposure.
The only thing is that you have to be on right track to establish a solid internet platform and earn the goodwill of the Internet population.
If right methods are followed, there is no look back in any Internet business. If you intend to start an online business you can definately go ahead.
